Applying the best practices of artisanal and ancestral mezcal production to local heirloom varieties of sugar cane, Alambique Serrano is making some of the most captivating and beautiful rums anywhere on the planet at the moment. This small, one-off blend of only 637 bottles was created from Java cane, distilled on pot and Krassel stills with the majority of the blend being aged in Virgin French Oak Casks with the rest split between ex-mezcal and Bourbon casks. Bottled at a natural cask strength of 63.4% abv. Redolent with notes of driedd figs, aged tobacco, pu-erh tea, cherry, lychee, toasted almonds and piquant spicy oak on the finish.
